Iconic/Ironic
Four new ultra short pieces - a quartet - by Jens Bjerregaard and a classic by Lars Dahl Pedersen
Iconic/Ironic -Nothing stands alone and everything can be reflected.
Iconic/Ironic is a consistent, abstract choreographic game that circles around POP ART and the use of clichés - nevertheless my own! Modern art offen comes to life when promoting the classics - the icons - and putting them into new contexts. It creates new images of the world. Iconic/Ironic moves this game into the world of dance and will offer a distorted and humouristic performance.
The piece consists of choreographic fragments that through its own interaction become the performance. Some fragments refer to former productions, while others are new material.
- Jens Bjerregaard

Here are some quotes from the reviews
For Ironic/Iconic
It is not the first time that Jens Bjerregaard, the man of abstraction, shows his humouristic side. For instance, both humour and whim can be seen in his imaginative Beautiful Breakdown from 2001. But the ironic side is far more accomplished and sharp in Iconic/Ironic ... also small details, such as the mens' wiggle of the hips when they pose, and the womens' dance with the head of the man, gives irony and humour to the inventive piece. And it is difficult to believe that 40 minutes have past when the performance ends.
Vibeke Wern, Danstidningen - translated
... Very acute and surprising shifts, to be seen as a whole that interconnects an exciting body language - it seems harmonic even in those disharmonic moments.
... It is a varied performance, ranging widely from the irony of well-known icons to the seriousness of the horrible world beyond the dance floor. It is both humorous and evil.
Mancopy has established themselves in Aarhus.
John Christiansen, JP-Århus - translated
One dancer draws herself up by the nose while another one poses with a provocative attitude and peace signs. And through the piece, we hear a grotesque, German telephone interview in the background, in stark contrast to the physical expression of the four dancers on the floor.
In Iconic/Ironic, Jens Bjerregaard shows more humor and play than usual - the straightforward style suits him very well.
Jette Skjoldborg, Århus Stiftstidende - translated
For Running Sculptures
Short Storie's best piece is Lars Dahl Pedersen's Running Sculpture. The dancers are like two sculptures, that in the moon light of the night have come down from its pedestals and enjoy the freedom before the day breaks. It is a very various choreography with great rhythm changes. Running Sculpture er elegantly choreographied.
Torben Kastrup, Danstidningen - translated
Running Sculpture is pure dance, a beatiful pas-de-deux. Energetic and syncron pieces of dance, mixed with sculptural calmnes or licentious movement. Lars Dahl Pedersen's choreography is tempo and calmnes between two people who's interest to each other is more and more present, while their bodies rotates beatifully around each other . A pleasure to view.
Susanne Trudsø, Byen Kalder - translated
Totally naked is the stage in Lars Dahl Pedersen's organic duo Running Sculpture, where the bodies them selves are in focus both in movement and when they stand still and creates attention to time, space og direction. Very nice the dancers match each other in almost alike costumes, where the bodies through the dance gets more and more solidarity. A nice body story in the various program.
